Elm School Association

The Elm School Association is a Parent and Teacher Committee which was formed with the intention of offering the pupils of Elm Primary School extra activities or equipment that the school would not normally be able to offer.

The ESA organises and staffs fundraisers such as Quiz Nights, Bingos, Pamper Evenings, Coffee Mornings and School Discos to name a few and the total income raised then pays for the activities or equipment. In recent years the money has been used to purchase a new kitchen for the pupils, sports equipment, circus workshops, a trim trail and climbing wall, and presently we are looking into purchasing new imaginative play equipment.

We, the ESA Committee understand that not everyone has the free time and flexibility to attend each meeting or help out at all events. However, if you can support us in any way, we would love to hear from you. We have an informal meeting roughly once a month. Meetings are held immediately after school in the Year 6 classroom, where there are pens and paper to occupy the children. Generally meetings last about an hour. All are welcome – feel free to come.

There is also a notice board outside, at the back of the school on the Year 2 classroom. You will see this as you enter the playground on the left. This will be used to display all up and coming events, newsletters and minutes so that all Parents/Guardians are kept up to date.

The ESA Committee is made up of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Committee members. All Parents/Guardians automatically become Committee members when their children attend at Elm School.

Current Committee Members are:

Chair: Dan Catt

Vice Chair: Kerri Hancock

Treasurer: Natalie Gooch

Secretary: Kelly-Jane Erkin

Thank you for taking the time to look at our page and we look forward to meeting new members with fresh ideas.
