Year 1 have been very busy this half-term.

We have been on a visit to Wisbech Castle. Here we used our 5 senses to find out more about our local environment.



In Art we have been discovering which primary colours we need to make secondary colours. We then used these paints to print Harvest pictures.



In Science we have been looking at different materials and how we can group them. Here we are testing which objects float and which are waterproof in the water tray.

                            

We have been reading a selection of traditional tales in Literacy. We went up to the computer suite to draw and label different characters and also baked gingerbread men. We have also enjoyed sharing books with our reading buddy.




This half-term our topic is ‘Superheroes’. On the first day back the children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite superhero. They had challenges to complete throughout the day and their reward was to watch ‘The Incredibles’.




We have been enjoying dressing-up and pretending to be Superheroes in our role play area.
