Year 4 have had a great start to the term! In Literacy we have been learning lots about stories from India and writing our own. We are now looking at the Rama and Sita story which we had great fun acting out in groups. Here you can see Rama trying to capture the golden deer for Sita and ….


In Numeracy we have been trying hard to learn our times tables and we spent some time looking at shapes. We have been classifying shapes according to their properties; the children have sorted shapes with right angles from those without. We have also been making our own 3D shapes.




In Art we have been learning about repeating patterns. We explored the school and found lots of different repeat patterns inside and outside. We also used shapes to help us make our own repeat patterns. Lots of us showed our Art work in a ‘Proud Of’ Assembly. Later in the term we will be looking at Indian style patterns and creating our own which will be printed on material.
